Lowestoft Sixth Form Students Celebrate A Level and BTEC Success
Students at Lowestoft Sixth Form College are celebrating another year of outstanding A Level and BTEC results, with strong academic achievement and exciting progression to universities, apprenticeships and professional careers.
Students gathered with classmates, teachers and families to collect their results and celebrate the next stage of their journey. The results reflect the College’s commitment to inspiring greatness in every student, supporting young people to achieve their ambitions and progress to exciting futures.
The College are particularly proud of an increase in A* grades achieved this year, including outstanding A Level results in Biology and Law, alongside high-grade outcomes in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Students also achieved 100% pass rates in subjects including English, Philosophy, Photography, Film and Environmental Science.
Across the College’s BTEC provision, students achieved excellent results with high-grade achievement in Performing Arts and Forensic Science.
These achievements are a testament to the hard work, resilience and determination shown by students throughout their studies, supported by the expertise, dedication and commitment of staff across the college.
Lowestoft Sixth Form is preparing to award a significant number of students with Scholar Status once again this year. This prestigious accolade recognises the highest levels of academic achievement, placing recipients among the top performers nationally.
Chloe Williams is celebrating an excellent set of results in Triple Sport, achieving an outstanding D* D* D*. Chloe has chosen to continue her studies at sixth form for another year, where she will study EPQ, Criminology and Psychology, before progressing to university.
Bronwen Back has achieved an exceptional set of A Level results, with A*s in Biology and Maths and an A in Chemistry. Bronwen will now take the next step towards her chosen career, heading to the University of Edinburgh to study Biomedical Sciences.
Gabriel Underwood is celebrating a strong set of A Level results, achieving an A in Law and Bs in Sociology and Politics. Gabriel will continue his academic journey at the University of Kent, where he will study Law.

University progression remains exceptionally strong, with students progressing to a diverse range of courses across the country. Destinations this year include Law at Kent University, Biomedical Sciences at Edinburgh University, Biomedicine at Birkbeck University of London, History and Politics at the University of East Anglia, Strength and Conditioning at Anglia Ruskin University and Music at Nottingham Trent University.
Students have also secured prestigious scholarships to support their higher education studies.
Among the most notable achievements is the award of the highly competitive Westheimer Scholarship for Biomedicine at Birkbeck, University of London. With only one UK student receiving this scholarship this year, Olivia Ojemen, who achieved an A in Maths, an A in Biology and a B in Chemistry, has secured this prestigious award. This exceptional achievement highlights both Olivia’s accomplishments and the calibre of students studying at Lowestoft Sixth Form College.
The College continues to provide advice and guidance to students receiving their results, as well as support for those preparing to join in September.
